It is common knowledge that July 4th is one of the most important holidays in the United States. It is less obvious, however, what the rationale behind the celebrations is. Even people who did not pay attention in history classes take advantage of a day off and follow suit. Whatever the reason, people across the country gather to celebrate and spend quality time with their nearest and dearest.
Apparently, the economic crisis will not impede the celebrations. As usually, people across the United States will fly the flag, eat burgers and enjoy their time off.
Fireworks, cookouts, snacks and drinks rank most prominent in terms of expenses. Increased consumption will bust sales, so from the economic point of view the celebrations are more than welcome.
