You Could Hurt of Kill Yourself

In the hands of drunk driver, a car becomes a deadly weapon even to the driver themselves. You might not hit into another person, but you could hit into a tree, a pole, a building or even swerve off the road. That’s a terrible thing to put your family through, so remember, no matter how convenient it feels to drive, the goal should always be arriving alive.

Legal Troubles

Driving drunk can get you into a lot of trouble with the law, and you could get sued if you hurt someone else, and arrested if you’re caught by the cops. You could find yourself in court for months, which would drain you of your money and at worst you could go to prison. That means traumatizing your family, loss of income and so many struggles that come from one stupid decision. Spare yourself and your family of this horrible experience, it’s all in your control.

Lost Insurance

You can take a major financial hit from driving drunk, you could lose your auto insurance coverage which can have so many devastating effects on your finances. Rees law firm DUI attorney Jonesboro says “DUIs are some of the most common legal cases we deal with, and many of the people we represent regret their actions after faces the consequences.” Losing your auto insurance can also lead to another consequence, losing your right to drive entirely. The law is not kind on people who selfishly drive while intoxicated, so you will feel the full weight of the legal system. Again this is something you can completely avoid.

Every single time you decide to get behind the wheel after having a couple of drinks, there are so many things that can go wrong. No matter how high you think your tolerance is, or how experienced you are as a driver, when you’re inebriated, you just aren’t as sharp, focused and alert as you should be. Instead of putting yours and other people’s lives at risk, ask someone to drive you or just get yourself an Uber or Lyft.
