Airline credit cards allow their users to collect rewards points & airline miles or participate in frequent flyer programs. If you use your card regularly, you can accumulate the points (even for non-flight transactions) very fast.

If you are not that much of a frequent flier, choosing a different rewards points card might be a better idea.
