For many people in the UK, the long wait for the sunshine to arrive can just be too much. Rather than waiting, it’s possible to go on a break to Europe, and to look for deals on holidays where you’re not going to break the bank; you can also take your families on great holidays where you can stay at lodges and resorts, or opt for a caravanning and camping holiday. Looking at destinations like Croatia, Southwest France, the Algarve, Belek, and Fuerteventura, you can find some excellent deals for a quick break.

1 - Croatia

One of the most popular destinations in Europe for UK people looking for sun on a budget, Croatia has been made even more accessible in 2013 thanks to inexpensive flights from Heathrow to Zagreb. Some of the best places to go with afmilies include Spadici and Porec, as well as resorts along the Istrian Coast. Dubrovnik is also an excellent place to visit, as are resorts such as Hotel Iberostar Albatros and areas like Cavtat.

2 - Southwest France

A popular destination for a sunny holiday with your family, Southwest France is home to the natural beauty of the Dordogne, as well as to the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts - you can either go for a resort and relax by the pool, or take a caravan on a long drive through the countryside. Key places to consider visiting include the Basque countryside near to Spain, Landes Forest, and Bergerac for cottage holidays.

3 - The Algarve

4 - Belek

This area in Turkey is a good option for travellers that want to take advantage of the Mediterranean weather of the Turkish Riviera - this is home to Roman ruins, beaches, and destinations such as the Atlantis De Luxe Hotel and Resort, and the Arcadia Golf Resort; children can enjoy water slides and other activities when staying in these kinds of resorts, with Turkey being one of the most visited parts of Europe for UK travellers.

5 - Fuerteventura

When visiting Spain, the island of Fuerteventua in the Canary Islands are ideal for sunny beaches, as well as for its volcanic landscape and numerous resorts; Fuerteventura is similarly excellent if you want to experience surfing, as well as resorts that cater to children and families that want to enjoy water sports and relaxing by the pool as part of their holiday. Notable resorts include Casa Santa Maria, as well as inexpensive accommodation and campsites.
